James Watson House
James Watson House at 7 State Street, Manhattan, New York City, USA, was
built in 1793. It is located at the southern tip of Manhattan Island,
across from Battery Park. James B. Watson was wealthy merchant and also the first speaker in the new York state Assembly. The house was built in 1793 and once belonged to the home of the first American-born saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, and is now a Roman catholic church and shrine dedicated in her honor.
